MotlMD accepts payment for mental health services out-of-pocket.

We accept the following:

Upon request, we offer a superbill, a document that shows a list of services received from a healthcare provider that can be submitted to certain insurance companies for reimbursement.*

CareCredit is a healthcare credit card that can be used for health and wellness care with providers enrolled in CareCredit.

Check with your insurance carrier about coverage for out-of-network services before starting care.


Request a superbill

After services have been received, you can request a superbill from MotlMD. A superbill is an itemized receipt of services a client can submit to insurance after payment and services have been performed.


Submit to your insurance

Your customer service insurance provider can give instructions on how to submit a superbill. Follow the guidelines and call your insurance provider if you have any questions.


How Much Will My Insurance Reimburse?

MotlMD is unable to inform you how much of our services are covered or if your insurance will cover services at all.

We recommend contacting your insurance company to get a good idea of coverage.

Don’t know what to ask? Here are some ideas:

  • “Do I have out-of-network mental/behavioral health benefits?”
  • “What is my out-of-network co-insurance amount?”
  • “Do I have an out-of-network deductible that has to be met first before I get reimbursed?”
  • “What is my out-of-pocket maximum for out-of-network providers?”

Working outside of insurance allows one’s healing plan to be between the client and provider, and gives the power back to our clients where they can be in charge of their healing journey.

Although insurance companies are not healthcare providers, they often determine medical necessity, which can prevent clients from getting the support they need.
